There need to be some changes to WoW if blizzard wants to keep my money flowing. 1) I'm sick of "Huntard" blizzard needs to make that crap stop. 2) Jerk in dungeons are killing all the fun. One guy even said "Cross servers, (expletive deleted) you can't touch me" and vanished from the group. 3) There is some stat counter people are abusing in dungeons to bully hunters, mages and warlocks. While us back row fighters are sending our pets/minions and unloading our shots into the enemies only the melee fighters are getting the kill credits. Some buttface yells "recount" and suddenly it looks like the back row fighters aren't pulling their weight and we get removed. This is unfair, I'm sick of spending my money on this crap. Please refrain from using inappropriate language, masked or otherwise, on our forums. Thanks. -Nevalistis |

I think the dangerous part of the original post is a vast over-generalization. Not all WoW players are jerks. Some of them might be. Just like not all the world is full of jerks. There's plenty out there, sure. But just as finding nice or pleasant people to associate with in real life is a challenge, it can be a challenge in a game too. If a player is genuinely harassing you, that is something our staff can and assist with - whether or not the player is "cross realm" is irrelevant. It sounds a lot more like that player either has very little idea how our support staff functions or they were intentionally trying to rile up the group while discouraging you to report their behavior. In either case, please feel free to submit a petition regarding this or any other similar future occurrences. As to the "dps" issue, the others have covered it much more concisely and thoroughly than I ever could, but I'll try to summarize. Some players are concerned with the numbers because it can, on occasion, hamper an entire groups ability to progress. Lackluster or inefficiently equipped gear can cause this, as can inefficiency in one's rotation. If this is common feedback you receive, you might want to consider looking up more information on your class or the kind of gear you are using. Starting with your class forum is a good place, but there's also plenty of great third party resources out there to help you improve your game. The community is a very helpful place full of people willing to help - this forum itself is a testament that those kinds of people are out there. But starting out with a "please" or a more polite approach is likely to be better received than with an accusation and name calling. >^.~< |
