The long and short of this situation is that every player is responsible for all actions taken on their account. Even if it was you, personally, who sent the gold accidentally to a different character, once that character receives the gold in the mail, we can no longer intervene. Had the mail never been received? That may have been a different story. Lying about your case does not change the outcome. All situations of restoration are verified in our logs prior to the restoration being granted. If the logs do not show evidence that the restoration is warranted, then we cannot assist. It's an expensive lesson learned, and while the situation is unfortunate, we do not intervene in such matters due to numerous fail-safes (confirming the character name prior to sending the gold) and because players can, and should, be held responsible for their actions. |

Hi, i have been playing since BC, and my kids play and my wife. Between us we have 4 accounts that get played, in the past 30-45 days my playtime has decreased because of work, and my 8 year old was playing my account ( i have 85s and heirlooms that he does not have), anyway he sent some gold from my banker to a main to buy guild heirlooms for a new toon he rolled, and it turns out he sent 100k, but to some other toon by accident. i have opened 3 tickets about this, the first ticket was never responded to, the second, the gm said nothing they could do, and the third said the same thing, and i would have to take it up with the developers. For me this is a principle issue, we pay 15$ (60$ in my case) per month to enjoy and get immersed in a very cool game. There are things that happen in game that we take responsibility for and may or may not have recourse, and there are things that happen that we have no recourse for other than an "in game fix" ( after all this is not real but a simulated experience). Kids from the age of 2-16 play this game and items, gold, get vendored, sold, deleted, and lost. I could lie and say this person scammed me (even tho i don't know who they are), and i could get the gold back, i could buy gold, i could buy accounts, gear etc:, but i DON"T, I play and earn every thing i have, and i feel cheated. To ad insult to injury, the GM said once the mail was received and claimed it became their property, but it is not, was not and will never be their property, it is MINE. This issue is seriously making me rethink this game. |
